Independent Living Skills Class
The Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind offers a transition program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students of post-high-school age. The program emphasizes skills in the areas of personal hygiene, housekeeping, money management, food preparation, use of public transportation, basic household maintenance and repairs, recreational and leisure activities, and civic responsibility. This program is for students who will participate in career and technical training, adult basic education, and/or college preparation programs, and who will be gainfully employed on a part-time or full-time basis.
