Key responsibilities of the Board include: (1) developing and maintaining accessibility requirements for the built environment, transit vehicles, telecommunications equipment, and for electronic and information technology; (2) providing technical assistance and training on these guidelines and standards; and (3) enforcing accessibility standards for federally funded facilities. The website features a Technical Assistance center, information about accessibility guidelines and standards, and research reports and publications.
